Group Ukulele Classes for Adults in Seattle

All you need is a ukulele. This weekly class is built for adults who want to learn alongside other people, not solo — total beginners are welcome, as are players who already know a bit. We’ll work on strumming simple songs, with room to sing along for anyone who wants to practice accompanying their own voice, plus a bit of scales, technique, and easy music theory along the way. Your ukulele should be soprano, concert, or tenor size.

Why Learn in a Group

A group class is a genuinely different experience from private lessons — you’re learning alongside other adult beginners, which tends to make the whole thing feel lower-pressure and more social. It’s a great fit if you’re looking for a fun, casual way to build a new hobby, want some built-in camaradarie with fellow students, or you’re not sure yet how serious you want to get with the instrument. You can sign up anytime during the year and join a class already in progress.

Our classrooms are the perfect dedicated space for getting out of the house and working on your music. Adults from Madrona, Leschi, Capitol Hill, Mt. Baker, Hillman City, Seward Park, and Beacon Hill join us at one location or the other, whichever is the shorter drive.
